What I learned! -Ashley Young
This time around I learned to use quotes better. It's important to keep it short and simple! Sometimes there are so many great quotes to choose from, but it's best to keep your quotes short and sweet, and to the point. Quotes are there to support your story, not make up the whole story. I struggled with using quotes throughout my profile article. I also would like to be better at shorthand writing because when I look back over my notes, they are a mess! I assume they will get better with practice. I've also learned that you need more than three edits for your article to be successful. Have a great weekend everyone!
What I Learned - Alicia Gonzalez
Hello Everyone! :)
I would have to say the most important thing I learned is to not rely so much on my tape recorder and to have better notes! I had a little scare after one of my interviews in which EVERYTHING from my recorder was gone. But somehow I found later (after a minor panic attack in my car)... Perhaps I just needed to get better acquainted with my tape recorder. However, the scare made me realize how important it is to take better notes! Lesson learned, check.
Thanks for reading!
