The first release of The Seminole Scribe is here!

George Rivera here. In print and online The Seminole Scribe has been delivered for anyone interested in reading. By the library, by the A-building, by the adult high school even! We have worked hard with this issue and although we have had set backs this issue has been a treasure for us to make. The design and the articles within are at least to me interesting and provide something both nice to look at and read. Working on actually delivering the papers was something of a treat, hard work to be sure, but a treat. We even had extras, both faculty and students were happy to take most off our hands. With that we hope that the next paper will go smoothly and we know it will be better.

Hot Off the Press!

Fall's first issue of the The Seminole Scribe has now found its way to the wire racks strategically place throughout campus. Be sure to pick one up for yourself and a friend. If you prefer to read it online, click here.

Happy reading!

As always, letters to the editor are welcome.

Until next time,

What I have learned- Eric Anderson

There so many differences that I have noticed since beginning the class. I entered the class thinking I am an older guy, I read a lot of news, and this will not be so difficult. With a couple of English compositions classes under my belt, and 21 years in the military with plenty of evaluations written,  I thought that this would be not so difficult. What I soon would realize is that it is altogether a different beast. The idea of taking and stretching stories was soon killed. It was now taking the least amount of words and getting the reader to understand without losing interest. Trying to find new and interesting stories that were new and fresh, and would interest the reader while being meaningful was another issue that would become a highlight of every class.  I have a lot to learn, and keep an open mind knowing that what I do learn will make me that much smarter.
